Top 5 Communication Apps on Android in Ukraine, Q2 2025

In the second quarter of 2025, the performance of the top communication apps on the Android platform in Ukraine showcased some interesting trends. This analysis is based on data from Sensor Tower.

WhatsApp Messenger experienced a notable increase in weekly downloads, starting at approximately 44K and peaking at around 66K by late June. Active users also grew, with numbers rising from 8.5M to approximately 9.4M over the quarter.

Telegram saw a steady increase in weekly revenue, reaching about $114K by mid-June. Downloads rose from 40K to around 54K, while active users remained relatively stable, fluctuating around 21.8M.

Rakuten Viber Messenger maintained a steady revenue stream, peaking at approximately $20K in mid-June. Downloads increased from 25K to over 31K, while active users saw a slight decline from 20.2M to about 19.2M.

Messenger had varying revenue figures, with a few peaks reaching about $100. Downloads saw a gradual rise, peaking at 24K, while active users remained stable around 4.5M.
